It is probably a fact that your sweet heart loves to smell good. Many people are drawn to fragrances. Women especially love complex, sweet or light fragrances to wear either to work, at home or to special events.  However, it is sometimes difficult to find what your sweet heart would like.  Here are some tips on picking a great fragrance for your sweet heart.

There are so many different types of fragrances to choose from.  Many fragrances are expensive, but most are very reasonable. Finding the right fragrance is a matter of taste.  In order to find the right fragrance you can easily ask your sweet heart, which will give you the best idea of what to buy, but if you want to surprise your sweet heart with a new fragrance here are some tips.  Look at the types of fragrances that your sweet heart likes to wear.  Usually fragrances will fall into a few categories such as sweet, complex, or light citrusy.  If your sweet heart only purchases fragrances in a single category then you can guess that they would continue to like something in that category.

Picking out an Engagement Ring

If you are planning on tying the knot, then you are probably interested in buying an engagement ring.  Many people are at a loss of information when it is time to buy an engagement ring.  Most people don’t realize that large amounts of information that are out in the public about engagement rings were created by marketers.

You have probably heard about the three months salary rule.  Marketers have come up with a way for you to spend three months of your salary on an engagement ring.  While most people agree their soon to be wife is worth it, you shouldn’t be pressured by marketers.  Take time and decide for yourself what is appropriate and what you can afford.  If you can’t afford three months salary don’t fret.  You can find plenty of gorgeous rings at a fraction of that price.

Many times you will go into a jewelry store and the jeweler will tell you the appraisal value of a ring.  While an appraisal value of the ring will tell you what a ring is worth, it is usually the highest retail price that is paid. For instance a ring might be appraised for $2000.  But that is like paying MSRP for a Car.  Most people can get the ring for far less than MSRP.

So do your homework and research engagement rings.  Figure out what you can afford and what is appropriate, then buy a ring that your future wife will be proud and happy to wear.
